OT: Weddings at the Bells
Anyone see this news item: http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_6221486? Apparently the Forest Service is pretty cash-strapped, and is allowing weddings at those infrequently photographed mountains near Aspen.

In somewhat related news, when I drove up to Mt. Evans with my family last weekend, the ranger at the entrance station went out of her way to say that the entrance fee was not required if we only drove the road and didn't stop.

Tony, i heard that this AM also. Wild. Well, I guess on a typical Fall morning, an extra 100 people won't even be noticed!!!

On the same subject, I hiked up to Delicate Arch one time years ago, and there was a couple who got married right under the arch itself. Luckily they were aware of the other tourists, and made it pretty fast, and not right at sunset!

3 years ago in Upper Antelope Canyon there was a photographer shooting a Bridal portrait a little ways inside the entrance to the Canyon. Between the multitudes of tourists bumping my tripod and the guy's 400B's popping every few seconds it was an interesting morning.

Where's the downpour and subsequent flood when you really need it?

Doesn't look too bad - except that the Forest Service is charging a typically low fee of $150 per wedding (guess they make it up in entrance fees?). You get two hours at the amphitheater for your money - no reception, just the wedding. So it's not going to do too much to affect photography of either flowers or the lake...
