I also was dodging the lightning and thunder Saturday at West Quoddy light. Just got back to the van before the downpour. Missed the turn off to Pemaquid in the midst of a wicked storm.
Decided to go inland across Maine and NH to I-91 to return home. Too many people decided to go to the Maine coast on the first weekend of summer.

Nice tight comp of the lighthouse - the imposing clouds really work well above what looks to be a rolling sea in the BG. I also like the movement in the flags to show the wind!
I like this shot! Much like Mark's shot, the lighthouse in a storm is one you seldom see. Some people refer to West Quoddy as "lands end". In this shot is looks as if it might be "worlds End" !!
