With the Sun going in-out-in-out shake it all about and the wind blowing a bit of a hooley I got an hour with the birds today, except nobody wanted to play
Spotted this little grebe in some reeds - I get the feeling this is a new nest pile soon to be graced with some more eggs; the mute swan cob on this lake has given everything a real hard time this year so lets just hope he drops dead from stress, he really is a nasty soandso
Yep the reeds are a bit iffy but I couldn't go and cut 'em down could I!!??

Lovely shot Andy, like Barrie the reeds don't bother me that much - kinda frame the Grebe. I think I'd clone out the bright bits in the top right corner though. I usually carry a strong pair of scissors in my belt pack and have used them on a couple of occasions to cut away a reed or whatever that is obscuring my view, needless to say I wouldn't cut anything down that would disturb or endanger a bird, nesting or otherwise.
I'll be contraversal... I'm not that keen on the OOF stuff although the thickness of it helps from distracting the eye and focusing it on the main subject.
