Cambria Sunset
We celebrated my wife's birthday with a long weekend in Cambria, which we only "discovered" last spring when we were looking for a coastal route back to SF from Joshua Tree. My D40 was in the shop, so I shot a roll of Fuji 160C color neg film in my F3. It was just snapshot time since I'd forgotten my split ND anyway.... This was Friday's sunset just across the street from our motel.

You did a wonderful job with what you had. I love the slight bit of turquoise blue surrounded by all the violets in the water.

John, I have been to Cambria a few times over the years, a great location for some time out. The skyline is great here, but I'm sure the ND would have made a tremendous impact on the FG shoreline viewing, as you had mentioned in your comment.

Speaking of Cambria, have you ever checked out Bill LaBrie's gallery? Very nice prints from 4x5 negs. I don't see 30x40 prints that often. They really dwarf 16x20.

John,

Definately a nice sky. I do agree with Paul that it's too bad you didn't have the ND because I think the foreground is just too dark, and too much. Although you're fortunate you got some nice colors in the pools, which I'm sure is why you included the foreground in the first place.
