Jennifer,
Contact RMNA - http://www.rmna.org/
I've taken summer workshops with them in the past, but I don't know about autumn.

A number of the participants here run workshops...
You can also check the back of Outdoor Photographer. Many workshops are advertised there. Late September is prime-time for CO fall colors, so I'd be surprised if you aren't able to find something.
Jennifer,
You might contact Andy Long at firstlightfoto@aol.com. He runs a fall color workshop that week, but it's in Crested Butte, the San Juans, and other places with outstanding fall locations. RMNP does not have the best fall colors in Colorado. His website is firstlighttours.com

Thanks guys. I'm scheduled for vacation the last week of September...the 22-29
Paul, I hadn't checked out RMNA before but it looks like they only have a Friday-Sunday on 9/21-23. That would have been a fun one, too...
Scott, I've been checking OP but most seem to be in the San Juans and not RMNP.
Morris, thank you. I actually found the First Light site yesterday. I did the RMNP-Aspen-Crested Butte via Kebler Pass-Manitou Springs loop last year. I know some of you will think I'm crazy but I just wasn't that inspired in the other areas and really want to return to RMNP again. I just thought it was amazingly beautiful there.
It seems all the workshops I'm finding are geared toward the central/southern portion of the state. I'm still unable to find anything in RMNP for that last week in September.

You're crazy! I'm wondering if you hit those spots during their prime time. At any rate, here's a link to a park workshop the week of your vacation: Weldon Lee. It focuses on wildlife, but no doubt there will be opportunities for other types of photography as well.
Discussion
5 repliesI suddenly have no "travel buddy" for my trip and I'm not keen on wandering around alone...so I'm considering a workshop.
Thanks in advance.
