Nicely done, Charles. I love the spread of the wings and how the pose represents the beauty of flight.

Its nice to see an avian related post here. I hope you show us more of your work.

Regards.

This is nice, Charles. I agree with Anil that it is great to see avian photography here. Keep it up!

This is an Osprey, is it not? I love birds and don't know the names of many of them. So, if you could do me favor and post the name of the bird along with photo, that will be great! Thanks.

Kind Regards,

Also glad to see some feathered friends.....
May I ask what focal length you needed and were you using a Better Beamer
for fill flash? I get Art Morris's Bulletins and am trying to learn
Thanks for being there and sharing this moment!
Has that "hover" quality to it..
Kudos.

Sorry about that folks, this is a male Osprey that was captured with 425mm of Zuiko glass at 1/2000s without a flash. The underside was lightened in PP.

Charles,

Nice catch! The only thing this needs is a big trout in his talons!

I had the nice experience once of watching an Osprey pull a trout out of Cherry Lake a few years back. Something you don't get to see very often.
