.....scraping the barrel for images. Not had much luck lately and also lack of time, so here's one from earlier in the year. Appreciate it's tight at the bottom and compositionally unbalanced and too much space on the left, but it's full frame and I can't add canvas to the bottom as the perch is beyond my cloning capabilities I pretty sure the BG is a distant old farm wall and sky merges with it. Strange colour I know

Graeme - there's never enough pics posted of the old sargeant major - so well done Guv
Yep - it's a bit slack left and a bit tight at the bottom but it shows him off something great
If you fancy having a go at clonning try setting the brush to a hardness of 8 and size 12 and take your alt+click selection from just to the right of the foot with your selection tool centered on the top edge so you clone the BG aswell as the top edge of the moss, then work your way down - get 50 pixels worth of believable new top edge in and the filling in will be easy
I must admit i dont find it tight at the bottom, as when i look at the image its the mid area that i look at the most.Yes the tail wings are near the bottom, "so what".They are not clipped so they are alright in my eye's.
Great perch, and very nice BG.With great detail where it counts
