To follow suit with Angela's recent post, I thought I'd post a shot that was taken during the Spring CSNP gathering. This barn was just down the hill from the cabin we stayed in and Glenn and I shot there on saturday evening.
Wayne, excellent compostion on this classic barn. By the way, how did your shots of the barn in the Big Piney valley that we found the Friday of the CSNP gathering turn out?
Nice barn shot Wayne, like the weathered boards. The early spring grass and the trees in the background starting to leaf out speaks of springtime. Nice work!

Great shot, Wayne! I think the trees in the foreground detract a little, but what can you do about that? I imagine that had I shown up, that's where I'd have ended up staying.

Thanks everyone! Jason, I agree that the trees detract a little. I've never been one to shy away from a little "housekeeping" but taking down a few trees to get the shot I really wanted seemed a bit extreme!
Angela, yes the CSNP Spring gathering was held in the Upper Buffalo region of Arkansas in late April this year. We had about 10 people in attendance for the 2 day + event. From the sound of it, everyone would like to do this again.
Tom, the shots down in Big Piney were ok but nothing special. I'll work one up and post it later. One thing is for certain, that region of the state is a target rich environment for old barns!

Was the CSNP gathering in Arkansas?
Glad there's another barn-shooter in the bunch
