Shot this a couple of weeks ago on the Appalachian Trail (the green tunnel) in Shenandoah National Park. This seems to break a rule of "room to fly into" to me, but thought I would ask the opinion of others.

Thanks,
Rod

Rod, there are some vibrant colors present here, very festive! It's kind of an unusual frame format which adds to the sense of "no room to fly into" you are feeling. Overall, I like the detail, color and subject but it does seem to need a bit more room right. Hope you had a great trip!

I'll bet you saw some beautiful country Rod. That's an area I really would like to visit.

I like the brilliant greens, blues, and pinks, but I'm feeling that the composition is a little crowded, and that the bright colors that are OOF pull me away from the butterfly and the bloom, which are in shadow.

I can only agree with what Bill and Wayne have posted. In the shaded areas, there is some really nice light in the Azaleas, and I'm sure the detail in the butterfly, but it's overpowered by the bright areas.
