Once again we have a great selection of articles and images from the NPN community. Flora gallery moderator Bill Fach offers a beautifully illustrated introduction to photography in your own back yard, Scuba diver and photographer Elaine Whiteford offers a unique perspective on underwater photography, prolific Southwestern photographer Alain Briot offers his thoughts on why you may want to print your own work, and rounding up this month's selection are a few thoughts of my own on simple things you can do that might make a big difference.

While I haven't been through all the articles, I've just finished reading Guy's - extremely thoughtful and well-expressed article. I don't think it could've been said better. Great images in the article too - especially the one with the skeletons (wonder where you'd find these? it almost looks like a dinosaur fossil to me).

Guy, I have to say your article this month is one of the best and most useful articles of this type that I have ever read ( and I have been reading them for years). Thanks for your insights.
