D2x, 300mm and 1.7xTC, f/5, 1/125s, full frame

Sean and I went up to Deer Park for the weekend (ONP). The Blue Grouse were calling out for mates. We got to see a spectacular show by a few of these guys up on Blue Mountain. Just thought I would share this guy with everyone.

Lots of critters around, but not much in the way of flowers yet. The phlox and buttercups were out. Not really any lupine yet, and just the very beginnings of the paintbrush.

Remarkable repetition of color between the rock, lichens, and the Grouse. Well done.

Inge, you did really well getting this image. I love the color coordination and the OOF background. Grouse aren't easy subjects to begin with, but you've captured this displaying grouse wonderfully.

I especially like how the lichen color so well matches the grouse's skin color.

Be proud of this capture...
