Yesterday we finally had some sunshine over here...
Allthough it did not last that long as today it's starting to poor again...
So after a tip i got from a friend, i went out to shoot some images of Stonechats wich i did not have in my files yet. It was not easy to get some decent shots without a hide, but i did manage to get some shots of every member of the family of Stonechats after all by just sneaking up on them.
A wonderful habitat shot, great perch and a lovely green background really makes the stonechat stand out.
Its tad bright on my monitor but i'm sure it looks great at your end, superb!!!
The heather on the rhs balances the composition perfectly . It's great that the Stonechat did its part by looking into the frame too!
Interesting that my book has Stonechat as Saxicola torquata but that seems to be the African Stonechat. Is the European Stonechat Saxicola rubicola the same one we get in the UK???
