Hi, i've a friend arriving for a 24 day stop over in london and has expressed a desire to shoot the famous british red kites (and other big birds of course). I'd normally suggest doing a trip to gigrin but the drive up from london is a nightmare. Anyone has any suggestions of sites near london? I've heard the Chilterns being bandied about, but last i checked the map (i'm not british so forgive me), its a huge area. Is there a specific site i should look at?

Thanks for all the help.

regards
szekiat

Szekiat,

If you follow the M40 from London towards Oxford, get off at a place called Stokenchurch, near High Wycombe,it's only a small place, just drive along the main road that runs through Stokenchurch,or anywhere near that area, and you should see them without a problem.

Stokenchurch Gap is a good area to see Kites.
