I'm not sure what camera you're using but 7dayshop.com sells the BP 511 compatibles at 2 for £9.99,so might be worth investing in 2,4,or 6 extra ones.
If your shooting Nikon I have an HL-EN3e for sale if you're interested.
Cheap compatible Canon 350D batteries can be found HERE
I'd stock up on however many you think you may need for your trip.Try and conserve power by using the LCD as little as possible, keeping I.S. switched off, having the camera power down when not being used,etc.etc.
Be sure to charge the batteries fully before using. It's often preferable to continue charging them for a good while after the battery fully charged light comes on.I try and leave mine charging for a good hour or two after full charge is indicated (but not unattended as a precaution,safety/fire risk, etc never had the slightest problem but better to be safe than sorry)
Last couple of times I've been over there I've taken one of those 12v Car battery "Jumpstart" packs with a jessops car cigarette lighter compatible charger.
Heavy but worked a charm - recharged all week with plenty to spare. Worse bit was lugging it from car to boat and boat up to tractor on the island.
Fabulous place, hope you get a break in the weather.

6 repliesWondering if anybody has any advice on this. My battery usually lasts just over a day of intensive shooting.
