Was it worth it...
Here's a shot I took a couple of winters ago, when everything was so dry. Beaver Lake was at one of the lowest levels I had seen in a long time. I can't remember how many times I went to this overlook before I saw a sunrise that I liked, but it was at least 4 or 5. It took me a while to decide, but I finally shipped the chrome off to be drum scanned, and this is the result. Comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

Bill this shot has a lot going for it, fine detail, lovely sunset colors and I like the graphic shape created by the sandbar. For what it's worth, I think that if the tree on the left was gone and you had the sunset unimpeeded this would be fantastic. IMO, the tree detracts from the main subject here, the sunset. Just my $0.02 worth.

Bill, I really like the shot. Wayne's point is well taken but I still kind of like the tree in the shot.

Bill, I like the shot also. I think the trees on the sides gives the image some balance that I like. I also like the colors in the sunset and the reflection.

Very nice, and the tree limb probably kept the sun from blowing out or flaring.

Bill - for me, the beauty of the image lies in the subtle colors and intricate detail of the reflections in the lake. It's a case where reflections are better than reality.

Great image!
The colors and silhouette of the trees and the s curve of the dry area of the lake. This one is a keeper!
