I've been reluctant to mention this after hearing it from Jerry, but now that Steve's addressed it in a post to one of my pics, I guess it's okay.
For those who don't know, Steve is recovering from surgery for a major medical condition (prostate cancer). I just want to say, get well quick, buddy! We need you and that Linhof out in the field, showing us how shooting grass is really done!
Steve - Jennifer & I send you our best. I'm very glad to hear that the recovery is progressing well and that you're getting ready to get back out in the field.
Thanks Todd and others!
Yes I have had a interesting/challenging Spring-Early Summer. All I can say is you guys in your late 40's and early 50's get that PSA test every year!!. Bottom line is we caught my cancer early enough: it appears after the final biopsy results it was confined to the interior of the prostate so removal most likely took care of it. I had a great surgeon and I am recovering faster than expected. I can't lift more than 10 pounds for 6 weeks ( three to go) but at least I can do some short hikes/ near car shoots with my D200.
Good to hear your are recovering well Steve. I am not looking forward to that exam in the future, but your story gives me reason to put up with it! Good luck and enjoy only carrying the light load for a little while!
Steve, Glad your recovery is going OK and best thoughts your way! I have to second the recommendation for the PSA test. Mine have been fine, but have stories from friends feeling fortunate to catch things early from the test results. Looking forward to seeing some of your fine photos from upcoming trips. Roger

That's great news that you're well on your way back. Thanks for the inspiration. The D200 therapy should speed up your recovery - get well soon!
Get yourself well enough to come back out here to the land of rock and test your skills!!
