I am doing my first Art Show & Sale in August. Since I have never done anything like this before, I have a question. This is a small outside show in my hometown that includes a wine tasting event. I have a booth reserved and was wondering how many different prints who I take? I plan on selling my prints matted in 5x7 & 8x10 sizes as well as greeting cards. Also, any tips or suggestions on how to display things would be helpful. Does anyone take orders? credit cards?

Thanks in advance.

All good questions. Have you tried searching this forum? Art fairs have been brought up many times and there's a wealth of information already here.

I've taken orders for larger prints and I did take credit cards. You'll probably sell more big ticket items (or large purchases) if you take credit cards.
There are lots of different ways to display including grid walls and the more expensive "art fair walls" as well as bins, etc.
If you have a chance to go to an art show before yours (like this weekend) you'll see all sorts of ideas. Also, do you know any artists in your area that sell at these shows? They will also be helpful.

I've been doing art shows for a couple of years, and there is a lot to learn. here are a couple of really good resources to search and ask specific questions:

http://artshowphoto.com/

and

http://www.artfestivalguide.info/

The first, and the accompanying yahoo groups focuses on photographers.
