Just thought I'd pass this along. Looks like the flowers are starting to peak in most areas of the Bishop area of the Eastern Sierra, up high at least. Though Little Lakes Valley has a little left to bloom, but very close. Went up to Green Lake yesterday and the shooting stars are all over the place! I've never seen so many in one location!! Starting from Brown Lake all the way up to Green the flowers were quite nice. Bishop creek canyon is doing quite nicely too. Not sure how much longer things will be around. Sorry no pics, yesterday was all about hiking and exploring!!

Hey Preston! Things are going much better now. I had a major deadline last week at work which is now behind me. Whew! last week was almost an 80hr week. Hopefully that is out of the way for awhile! It sounds like you've been pretty busy yourself. Good to have to back!

Sounds really great up there, Cory. I never seem to plan any outings this time of year at all, the heat just wipes me out. I must be opposite the bear population with regard to hibernation cycles.

I hear ya Paul. This is really the first time really experiencing the wildflowers this time of the year. We used to go late summer or fall. While the flowers look pretty good to me others have said this is pretty dismal compared to normal and wet years.
