Anyone going to be in the Black Balsam/Shining Rock area this coming weekend/week. At Richards Bernabe's suggestion, my wife and I will be going up that way Saturday afternoon and staying till Wednesday. I've never been but I can't wait to get out with the camera. I have not had much time for photography this year.
For anyone who has just been to this area, what are conditions like now. I know a lot of the S.E. has been very dry. We have finally started getting a little rain in the past couple of weeks.

Streams are on the low side, but the occasional evening/afternoon t-storms have helped.
