Red-necked Phalaropes
Just came back from a great vacation to the Varanger peninsula in Northern Norway. One of the many highlights where these female Phalaropes - up to 200 could be seen together at one time in a small lake in Vadsø.

1D MarkIII + 500/4 + 1.4ext; iso 200, 1/1250 f6.3, handheld, cropped to 60% for composition.

A lovely bird that i have not had the pleasure in seeing, The birds are nicely positioned and i like the way that one is looking at the other-however i am not sure if they are critically sharp-difficult to tell at this size

Regards

Dave
