First time having such a co-operative bird. kept me company the whole morning as i waited in vain for a certain kingfisher.... Caught here with its favorite snack, damselfly sashimi.....

Nice comp but would have preffered a much lower VP as I find the water reflections a bit distracting - nice subject detail and pin sharp focus :toast:

You got something at least..... appreciate that a lower viewpoint was not possible in this case.... so nicely done.

We missed each other later, I went round the West Lake to check out where the KF's normally perch there, no sign. I must have goteen back about 5-10 mins after you left.

Phil :toast: :wavey:

Very nice shot of your subject and its pose and perch, all very sharp too.
Pity about the busy bg, but..what can you do!

Phil, as u alluded to that morning, its Kev's revenge really. The shooting angle could have been better but the problem with hides is that they tend to be about 10ft too tall in this country. Oh what i'd give to be able to crouch in the mud.....

thanks guys!
