Breakfast before the storm
I havent posted for a while mainly due to the severe weatherwe have had over the last 3 weeks,Yesterday was out first clear hot day for weeks so i checked some Grebes nests out,Many have been distroyed again through the extremely heavy rains that we have had lately, I thought that the eggs on this nest were dead as the grebes have been on them 2 months,I presume they are a fresh batch as the eggs normally take less than a month to hatch,Out of the 4 eggs on the nest 1 has hatched and looks to be a few days old,I shot this image between 2 boats so no chance for composition as this is the only view, move the camera 1'' either way and you get boat in the edge of the frame,I have cropped abit off the top but its full width,A storm blew up after a lovely sun rise and the sky was black as you can by the water,This image was taken just before running for cover
