Loowit Falls
This was taken the same day as my shot of Tunnel falls

I took this image about 5:30am in very low light

I really don't like this waterfall because of it's location along the trail....Kevin H and I tried to get to the base of it last October but the rocks were just sooooooo slippery that one false move would have put me in over my head water and a soaked camera... (remember that post from the guy who did get to the base of the falls)

anyway...so here is my take on this for this year...

thanks
Darren

This is one really tough place to photograph well, and this is one of the best I've seen. 5:30am?

it is quite a tough location, even at the base (that was me who was there). Low water levels make it considerably less photogenic as well. I like the shot here, with the grasses down low, but feel it may be a tad yellow.

Marc, thanks.

Yes it was right around that time.....I could check in Bridge to find out for sure but I left the trailhead about 4:45am.....up at Tunnel Falls at 8:30am

I am seriously thinking of getting housing for my camera and just swimming to various locations....would make my life much easier.

This is one of my favorite stops along the trail.. Looks like even the main creek is down quite a bit. That small stream is one I would really like to explore.. great job with this, despite the low flow..

Beats the pants off anything I've got of this falls!

There are some nice dark blue flowers on stalks that bloom in the foreground here in April - May that I've always thought would make a good foreground for this falls. I like what you've got here.

Hi Mike, I have some of those pictures too but the blue flowers are always so bright because of the light difference.....I am still not an expert on Tone control.....
