Angel's Rest Thunderstorm

Taken in between T storms atop Angel's Rest a couple weeks ago. I only had this spot of sunlight right as I go to the top and it was moving so fast I rushed with my sweaty hands and jarring heartbeat to get out the camera and get some shake free frames. After this, there wasn't any sun spots to be found for the next hour I spent staring at the little ant cars on 84.

I only got off six shots, only two well exposed, curious as to what you think of this as it was a truly rush snapshot composition while I was trying to catch my breath. Thanks for comments.

Nice dramatic image Andy, I like it! Great DOF and the FG rock works to provide depth.

the gorge is really so hard to photograph but i think this one is nice because it's different

i've nearly been struck by lightning while storms blow up the gorge, do be careful

I like it too, Andy - it captures a nice mood and the vertical format is a nice departure from the usual shots from this spot. Of course, you also know that there's a hidden waterfall in those trees on the right...? I posted some details on that over on Portland Hikers. Definitely within reach of the summit, albeit with some scrambling!
