Fern-er-Works
A few weeks ago we took our two boys camping in the Gorge. We camped at Viento on the south side of the freeway (wierd camping just off an interstate). However, the stream that runs through there is gorgeous. Not as lush as more westerly creeks in the gorge but, beautiful nonetheless. I have a couple of shots I like from just a short distance of our campsite.

This fern really intrigued me. I spent about 45 minutes telling it to stop moving. It didn't. I don't know why I didn't think to up the iso and so this was shot at 100. I think it might have a slight motion blur or it could just be an optical illusion of softness when leaves overlap in the photo.

Thanks for looking.

Cool shot Hans, I really like the comp. Looks like you got a blue cast in the water but thats not necessarily a bad thing.

Beautiful framing. Strong, intimate image.

Nice, Hans. I wish the area surrounding the ferns was a bit more consistent, but I very much like the central position of the fern and the radial nature of this patch.

These maidenhair ferns are beautiful. The dappled sunlight on these ferns is a nice touch. Great image.
