Broken Top, Wildflowers, Sunset.
Yep, another near/far mountain sunset with pretty colors and flowers. This from an island on Sparks Lake. I'm not sure if the composition works for everyone - opinions please? (there was not a better perspective to be had IMO)

I (and Annie) intend to head out there again the next few days, for a 50 mile trek around the Sisters, climbing each peak as well. My focus will be on some new work, new visions of these mountains. On this evening, I couldn't resist a classic, colorful style like this though.

Your right, it's a classic. Very well done, Marc.

Perfect, IMHO.

It's got it all Marc. Wild flowers in the foreground, a pristine lake, a mountain, a beautiful sky, all wrapped up in dramatic light.

Nice comp Marc. Sunsets like this have been fairly uncommon at this location this spring. I really do commend you just for being there. If this was just a week or so ago, I think I may have been just about 100 yards away shooting towards South Sister (Mount Charity).

Now that you mention it, Hans, it was only about a week or so ago and I do recall seeing another photographer on the shore not too far away. I was dropped off by canoe out on this island.

Nice composition, Marc. Your work with digital files, in my opinion, is leading the way for landscape shooters. I don't yet shoot digital, so I don't understand all that's involved. I'm always impressed with the color and tonality of your images. Very nice.

Well, when you have it down to a science why not go for it. It has you name all over it.

Way to go, again. Good use of the canoe, oh, and the camera equipment as well. :toast:

Awesome work as usual Marc. In just the year or so that I've been here, your body of work has grown more in depth and quality than any other photographer I know of. Well done bro.

Totally working for me... better than the landscape version posted at ESS.

Well, isn't that just to die for. Well done, as always, Marc.

This is just about the most perfect landscape photo I've ever seen, Marc. You're a friken mutant.

Outstanding Marc. Very inspirational.

Works well for me, particularly how you placed the reflection. The only nit might be just crop the bottom flowerless vegetation slightly.

I like this better than your other comp from this location, killer shot!
