Hi Tim, hope things are well down there. I have someone I work with who is taking his family down to Eureka Springs for 3 days next week I believe. I told him he should take the family on a short hike and check out some of the waterfalls. I was wondering if you could tell me if there are any waterfall hikes near Eureka Springs, that are not to difficult.

thank you,
mike

Not sure which Tim you were asking but since I am one of them I'll answer. You won't find waterfalls around here in the summertime, unless there is a freak downpour that dumps several inches on a certain spot, and then you will have a good waterfall for an hour or two. Both Tea Kettle Falls and Eagles's Nest Falls are located just south of Eureka Springs in the Madison County Wildlife Management area (and directions and maps are in the Arkansas Waterfalls Guidebook), but they won't be running until this winter (unless the big storm hits). There are some good dayhiking trails around, including the one at Lake Leatherwood at the edge of Eureka Springs. There is another post here a few days ago that has some other info in it as well...

Thanks Tim, I meant you, should have added the E. on the end. You're Mr. Fall of arkansas, so that is why I asked you. I need to get your book, my friend has it, and that is whom I go down there with to photograph. I need a copy for myself.

Really appreciate the help, I kinda figured there would not be any really flowing. :)
