The placement of this wild rose nestled against a birch tree caught my eye as I was searching around for sunset compositions this past weekend. The wild roses are in full bloom along Lake Superior. I had been looking for a composition of them, but most were simply to cluttered. They don't seem to be the tidiest of plants, and I was glad to find something that got a bit closer to the essence of what I wanted to show. I used my DSLR for depth of field reasons. Thanks for looking.

Tech Stuff: Oly E-500, 45mm, 3 exposures at different focus points - manually combined to extend DOF.

Another Mike Moatsian image. ( www.tinylandscapes.com ) Very nice Joel....Might play just a tad with the exposure ( 1/3 darker? ) for my own taste but that's being really nit picky. I love the detail.

Nice shot Joel - I love flowers against tree trunks and this is right up my alley....

What, no 4x5 on this?

Really nice composition and detail, Joel. I like the subtle pink reflection on the bark.
