Went to south San Juans last weekend, and I processed these two first. I hope you like them.

Camera: Nikon Coolpix 8400. Polarizer used.

EDIT: this is from Weminuche wilderness (thank you Todd).

Ooooh!, I know just where you were for that first one! Got lost on my hike back from that spot. Killer light, Momo. And all three Needle Mtn. fourteeners. But you describe this as south San Juans, which might lead some to think of South San Juan Wilderness, which this is obviously not. Far westeran Weminuche is probably more appropriate.

Pretty sweet on both accounts, though the one of Eolus just rocks! Talk about a grand vista...!

Momo, those are striking photos. I really like the second with the DOF created with the rocks and tree. I'm always a sucker for that kind of shot.

Hey Todd, I read the story on your website. That's one of the reasons I don't like to go to the mountains by myself.

Wow! Awesome Eolus shot, Momo! Great light and a grand vista!
Can't wait to see more!

Awesome light on those shots; i especially like the first! You may want to back off slightly on sharpening--artifacts are showing up on trees etc.

The Eolus shot is simply stunning. I want to go backpacking right this minute. Wow.
