kingfisher
Taken last weekend in between showers and sunny spells. There were two of them and i saw them several times but they were very cautious of me. Just as the sun came out this one landed on some reeds right in front of me and i managed to get a few shots before he/she flew off and then the rain came again. It made my weekend ..
I think its a female ,am i right ? . Around 50 % crop and a bit of saturation in photoshop and some usm. Comments welcome as always.
Regards. Matt.

Well done to you for sticking it out to catch some shots

A bit more USM would'nt go amiss. But other than that its a great shot :toast:

Thanks alan, i wasnt sure about the reed running across the bottom . I agree it could maybee do with a little more usm. My monitor is overdue for calibration so maybee thats my next step.

I like the pose, like to see it bigger (you know you can have 720 pixels on longest side now).
Always admire the patience of the kingfisher shooter.
