So why am I not out shooting???
Pikes Peak as viewed from C. Springs at 8pm tonight.

I was driving home about that time. Great light casting gold on the thunderhead but I didn't see any rainbows (wrong side of the clouds). Got home to an intense storm to the north. Interesting weather lately!

Ah, but the real fun is tomorrow :wink:
I expect a tornado watch from Springs north, severe tstorm watches to the south, around 2 pm ish.

I saw similar red streaks on the top web cam a few days ago, so I think it may be an issue with the camera and not rainbows or dramatic light. The 2nd shot does look quite impressvie though.

Um, I don't think anyone was mistaking those red streaks for rainbows...
It's probably interior office lights reflecting on the inside of the camera housing, or crappy camera.

Looks like close encounter type lights to me. Hopefully Mulder and Scully are checking that out....

As expected, tornado watch in effect for NE CO, Severe watch fro SE CO. Only real strong storms up north near Limon. Not quite what i was hoping for down south.
