Another shot from the Stuart trip. As usual: 10-20 mm and lee grad. I appreciate the comments.

Great shot Trevor. The only thing I don't like is what the lens did to those poor trees on the right. This has great elements of FG, MG, and BG (I hope those are okay abbreviations) (there, I've typed more than it would have taken just to spell them out). Nice composition.

Everything except for those trees on the right is real nice. I might be tempted to clone them out but I think it would be a bit of work, even for the Geek Master that I am.

Trevor, your work is very good. I have enjoyed your images over the last month or so..

this looks just a tad over sharp for me

I do love that little break in the snow....nice touch!

you could actually crop those trees out, make this square and that would be fine with me! :toast:

Ditto on the trees. It seems like the water rushing into the snow is competing with the wonderfuly lit mountain. It's not bad, it just doesn't come fully together for me.

Very nice shot. I agree with Darren, crop the image square and loose the trees.

Thanks everyone. I'm pretty reluctant to want to remove the trees-- unlinke a flare or a moisture spot--they are something true to the area. I'll have to wait until they get blown down via a windstorm or rammed over by a rabid mt. goat, then reshoot.

I like the trees just fine. What's bugging me is that the water looks like it's flowing up hill just before it drops in under the snow...

Nice one. I'd lighten the foreground 1/3 - 1/5 a stop and reduce the blue cast.

Very nice, but oversharpened

Instead of cloning out the trees, you could straighten them up in photoshop. They weren't crooked in real life were they?

Yep, I recall them very much being in that position. The larch has a tendency to bend the rules when it comes to tree posture.

I see what everyone is saying about the crop. After swaying between the crop and no crop options, I think I'd leave it as is. The stream on the bottom right serves as a lead-in for my eye and it would lose it's power with a crop. This is a good composition. That's some sweet relief detail on the peak and ridge in the background.
