5 mice in the mouth is better than...
On my recent trip to Northern Norway I met this Red Fox with the mouth full of voles. Unfortunately I only got one shot where it showed it's face, and as it was right next to my car I had no chance for improving DOF or composition. Image is full frame, should I crop it to a vertical ?

It seems like it was a goog rodent-year up there, can anyone identify the vole species?

Hi Helge,

Great behavioural shot! I would crop this horizontal showing just the head with the voles, that way laying the emphasis on the behaviour.
Wel done!

Greetings,

A great shame you could not have got this from a better angle-it would have been superb but as we all know in wildlife you get what your given-great to have seen and nice to have a record of it

Hi Helge what a great experience to see this. I have no suggestions about the crop only to say experiment with different ways. :toast:

Hi Helge

Nice one - agree with Jeroen re. the crop, which I feel would lift the image to another level!

Good shooting Helge. Would like to see it with different crops as already mentioned :toast:

Thanks for your suggestions, I think you are right about the crop. Here is the vertical I had in mind. I'm afraid though that it's not sharp enough for the crop.

Cheers, Helge

I prefer the original, as for seeing this behaviour & capturing it especially under the circumstances, well done Helge :toast: :toast: :toast:
