Quick as a wink...
While I have been making images for 25 years, I am new to RMNP. Not a landscape here, but, let's just say, being in the right spot at the right moment. The top brook trout got the morsel...the second bigger brookie came in second...the third is just under the other two. Lucky...I think so. All fish were fine after the multiple strike at Hanging Lake.

Welcome to the group, Tom! Nice shot and good reaction... I love the color of the water and the way it makes the fish colors pop. Maybe tighter cropping would provide more detail about the fishies in the middle? Anyway a nice capture.

Brookie Madness!!

Nice first post Tom! I love the frame-in-a-frame effect of the wave rings. Keep the shots coming!

Welcome to RMNP, Tom. Great first post, too. The color of the water, the contrasting warm hues of the fish, the water ring as CAZ mentioned... all comes together very nicely here. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Yeah, who let those dang NWS folk loose on this forum? they don't even know how to forecast the weather, let alone take decent photos!

Meteorologists don't get no respect

Anyway...Nat...I appreciate your advice about cropping. When I have done it, I end up cutting the fish in pieces in the lower left. I like the fact that some of the brookies seem to be viewing the action above. As if we need them to draw our eyes to the center.

Thanks to all...
