I was just wondering if the group is going to have the thus far annual Mt Rainier wildflower event.

Marie and I are planning to spend the weekend of July 28 in the southern portion of the park. I thought if the group was going to be there I'd keep my eye out for familiar tripods...

I know it the trip is usually a week later, but it seems like the flowers hit a little early in the lowlands this year...

I'll be on Vancouver Island from the 25th to Aug. 2nd. I'll make that trip one of those years.

Sean and I were up at Mowich and Eunice Lakes on the 4th... the avalance lillies were in full bloom. The bear grass was starting. Not much else out then, but has been really hot and sunny lately. I agree with Curtis about flowers probably being out a bit earlier this year.

It has been hot, but there is still a lot of snow on the north sides of the ridges. I think we're gonna be about spot on for the end of July. I'd definitely be interested in meeting up for this.
