Grey Heron
20D, 400/2.8 + 2x, ISO400, 1/640 @ f10, A-327 + BH1, ACR4.1 + CS3.

Hi,

One from Saturday, whilst waiting for a certain bird that didn't show (same one that Szekiat was waiting for).

This Grey Heron showed up and proceeded to perform, a little overgunned, this is full frame...

All the best

Phil

I like the spotlight effect on the subject. As you infer, a little more headroom would have been nice, but nice doesn't always work out I'm sure you could add a little canvas to the top of the frame if you wanted too. The only criticism I have is that it could do with a very slight ccw rotation. It is amazing how much even a tiny departure from a true vertical is so bothersome (maybe just to me) in images with reflections like this one.

Cheers all....

Phil..... you are right, just trying to get back into things at the moment and probably not being as meticulous as I should be, thought I had checked rotation eye to reflection eye..... must have hit cancel instead of OK

All the best
