Marmot portrait
Oly E-1, Nikon 300mm F2.8 EDIF manual focus (=600mm), iso 400, 1/1600s at F4, gitzo 2 series CF 'pod and RRS40 ballhead, cropped, NoiseNinja and processed in CS2 (on laptop still)

A more typical pose, when not whistling, just chilling out by the burrow entrances.

Cute huggable little fellas

Yep - definately more cuddly than Julie Andrews

I think I'll have to pack in the fags and loose a stone or three before I can see these guys myself

Nice one Mike :toast:

To make you feel worse, this was my 50th birthday celebration treat to myself :toast:

- hence my reluctance to haul the Canon gear around these days, the Oly 4/3rds system being a lighter set up becomes more attractive every day
