can anyone write me a PS CS2 action that will do a batch resize of one folder to another resizing tiffs down to 2000 pixels longside and resaving as jpg's.
please note, not interested in one that i have to open each file, i normally do this in batch/web package and size the large images at 640 for file use, and then rob the large images from the images folder and then delete the rest. however, i think 640 is the max size in this operation and i need to resize way too many images for a large submission to the above requirements. will pay for this as long as resonable.
plplease get in touch if you can help.
best regards,
mark (writepic@gmail.com)

thanks phil, the word 'script' always scared me. easy when you know how. if you were an ecuadorean taxi driver you would've got me to send you a disk, done this process, sent me the work and charged me £50.

Is it any good for what you want ?
EDIT - If you have a Canon DSLR camera then the program disc that came with the camera("Digital Photo Professional") can do all that anyway.
EDIT X2 - Go with what Phil said
You don't need an action..... go to File>scripts>Image processor, will do all youwant and more.....
All the best
Phil
