Post the names of reputable photo contests that do not have rights grabbing language in their contest rules. I can think of a couple:

Nature's Best
Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year
Travel Photo Of the Year

The South Florida Orchid Society has a yearly photo contest in coinjunction with the Miami International Orchid Show. Three categories, first prize is $600 per. They only ask for permission to use the photos, but you retain all rights. This year, the photo contest is in conjuction with the World Orchid Conference, which last happened on American soil 20-odd years ago. This is the biggest orchid conference in the world, and thousand of people will be there.

The most prestigious competition in Australia is the ANZANG nature & landscape photographer of the year competition. ANZANG Nature is an organisation focused on the unique natural heritage of the bioregion of Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica and New Guinea. It uses this competition to raise awareness of the wilderness & to support conservation. Apart from cash prizes the winning photos form part of a travelling exhibition.

Nikon Small World contest is just breath taking to see from microscopy shooters from around the world. 1st prize is $3,000 to spend on Nikon gear, with a total of 11 prizes. The winner also gets trips, etc. Charles Krebs from another forum has done very well in this one over the years, so its legit.

1st Prize
$3,000—toward the purchase of Nikon equipment. In addition, the winner will be invited to attend an awards presentation ceremony in New York City as Nikon’s special guest.

2nd Prize
$2,000—toward the purchase of Nikon equipment.

3rd Prize
$1,000—toward the purchase of Nikon equipment

All the best and hey, its specialized, but what isn't

I highly recommend Banff Centre's annual contest. They don't fork out much $ but there's no entry fee. They only get rights to show off your photos, and you retain your ownership rights. Course with Adamus snatching up all the prizes i may never win again, but it won't keep me from trying!
