I've tried lots of shots with flowers in the FG but, they've never worked for me. The flowers usually appeared too insignificant. I think I finally may have got a couple that work. I know that these aren't spectacular shots but, I'm going to try to get back for a sunset and hope that the flowers are still healthy.
Sorry if I'm breaking the rules posting these together but, they are dang near the same image.

And the paintbrush shot...

I like the landscape version here, I appreciate the low angle of both. Obviously some clouds would have added some interest in the sky, but that will have to wait for another day.

very nice, both of them Hans. I'm in a bit of a quandary. I love Indian Painbrush, but the landscape photo holds my interest longer.
I would consider cutting a bit of sky out of the painbrush image since it's just clear blue sky. but that's a minor nit.
Nice images, Hans. I agree with Curtis that a bit less sky would really help focus both images on the foreground wildflowers. So if it's a frog paradise, then I can assume you were wearing a lot of DEET for this trip..?

Deep Woods Off. Three heavy applications of it. Everything covered except my hands and face. Still came home with three bites.
