Marc's abstract of whitebark pine made me think of some "botanical" shots that I took of some ancient whitebarks up on the shoulder of Cooper Spur last summer. Some crossed into being landscape photographs, so I thought I'd post one and hopefully get some feedback on how to best capture the full tree as a "botanical" shot, but also have a reasonably compelling landscape image.
This is a blind spot for me, because I could stare a photos of whitebark pine forever -- so comments and suggestions would therefore be much appreciated! BTW, the smoke in the background is from forest fires.
