Too many choice when you live around here.....

Ill be getting up early to hit the nice morning light...but the question is...where to go...what to shoot....waterfalls, creeks, streams or mountians, lakes, clouds, vast expansive landscapes......

Hood?

Rainer?

The Gorge?

St. Helens area?

any thoughts or ideas....send em my way!!!!

I'd go with Rainier. It's close enough to peak wildflower season and still greener than most of the areas around here. Get up in the Tatoosh range for some nice pics. St. Helens is pretty dry by now and the flowers are on their way out. Same with most of the areas around Hood and the gorge. You could also do some hikes into the North side meadows around Adams, which should also have some good blooms going on.

Rainier is a good choice. I plan on heading to Rainier tomorrow. Wont be there till early afternoon but I plan on spending the night.

Sunrise from Larch Mountain should be awesome with great light and clouds around Mount Hood. I wish I could get there but won't be able to until maybe Wednesday. Rainier and Adams would be awesome but that is a bit of traveling for a sunrise shoot....

so wish me luck and I hope to bring back a bunch of new stuff to share...

What about locally? Anything in OR near PDX (I'm off Weds, BTW, but don't have oodles of time - 1/2 day?).

Darren, you off work Weds?
