They are near peak on many higher-elevation streams.
This was taken this past weekend while leading a weekend workshop for UNC-Asheville.

Sweet shot, Richard.
I find my eyes following the waterfalls to me and then following the rocks on the right side (my right) of the picture back into the forest. This picture really tells a story.
Very nice Richard. I found a few good spots with rhodies on our trip last week. ( Thanks again for your help) I'll try to post a few from that trip as soon as I can do some processing. I have been working on a wedding album and just finished it last night. Maybe now I can get to the NC shots.
Very nice Richard ,you really framed the falls nice with the blooming Rhodies
Where is that location ?
Thanks
Don

The depth of the scene does it for me. Really nice dimension.
Don you have to do like Thomas Biggs and just "happen" to show up where Richard and Jerry are leading groups

This is the Yellowstone Prong of the East Fork of the Pigeon River. Whew, thats a mouthful! Its near the Blue Ridge Parkway, NC.
Wish I were there. . .
BTW, I am still alive.
Steve
I've missed all the Rosebay this year, to much going on around here, I'm on the last day of training in Vermont. Been here all week stuck in the hotel
Leann, yep that's me
Did you hike down from Graveyard or up from Big East Fork?
Thanks,
Steve
Neither. There is a trail from the BRP that takes you right to this spot. Its just below the gorge that descends below Lower Yellowstone Falls.
