I was up in Mayflower Gulch this last Saturday evening. I was wishing that there where at least a few clouds, but they moved in right at sunset. I would say that the flowers were really good. I don't know the names of them all, but the meadows were full of flowers.

This screams springtime in Colorado! Great comp and the lack of clouds does not hurt this image in the least, in fact, it would be a great stock image because of it, since Colorado is known for its beautiful blue skies.

The dark trees on the right are a little troublesome and give away the HDR technique and/or the use of the GND. But this is down-right beautiful anyway! The composition is really dynamic and the cabin is a nice inclusion.

I was just at Mayflower Gulch this morning and Randy is quite correct. Lots of flowers and a good variety of them as well. The vast majority of them were nice and fresh. That is, not dry and crispy like one would think based on how hot and dry its been lately. Plenty of Sulphur Paintbrush around the old buildings. The red/orange variety of Paintbrush and Blue Columbine were more prevalent along the road. I'll also post this in the Colorado Wildflower sticky.
wow - this is a great shot! Surprised there aren't more comments! The dark tree is kind of a bummer from the GND as Scott said, but I still love this shot regardless. I have never been up there in summer, so I guess it's time to go up there. Thanks for sharing!

I've only been once in the summer (tons in the winter though) and want to get back bad!! This doesn't help much!
