Facing the Heavens
Ok, guys be gentle as my experience with B/w Conversions is limited. I managed to get a bit of time away from a family reunion to get down to Face Rock Wayside. When I saw a cool sky without much hope of color I decided to shoot for b/w.

Pointers Welcome!

Mike, this is gorgeous. I might be tempted to burn the darks in the clouds a little...but thats a minor issue.

Yep, I'd probably burn the dark areas of th clouds a bit, but a minor thing. You appear to have a good exposure on this as I see detail in all but the very darkest areas, and they are small. Good work on the conversion.

I think it looks great Mike. Burn in the clouds a little and that would be about it, I'd say.

I agree Mike, adding some contrast to the clouds will really make this one pop.

I like the lines here, Mike. Conversion looks good. I wouldn't have done too much differently except maybe darkening the clouds a little.

Very nice, Mike. Erik and I enjoyed talking with you, although I wish the weather had been better.
