Cascade Forest
I shot this on my hike last Friday. This was along the Todd Trail on it's way to Broken Top Trail. I really liked this scene with the warm morning light breaking through the trees. For some reason this was a hard shot to capture, I shot 20 images in this area, and this is the only one I liked, (or at least I think I like). Please let me know what you think. Thank You.

Hi, Brian,
I'd like to comment because, if you don't mind my saying so, I recognize all MY mistakes here. Like to pass on some of what I learned in a recent workshop to Olympic NP.

My consistent mistakes: including only parts of tree greenery along an edge (here, the right side). Lighting with too much contrast; it never looks in the camera the way our eyes see it, as our brain balances the lighting for us, I think.

Hope this helps. Love forest shots, so I know we'll both keep at it!

It's a nice composition and the ground is pretty clean except for a few twigs and branhes. The sunlight isn't doing you any favors. I would also like to see a little more room on the sides, especially on the left to give the trees a little breathing room.
