Arctic skuas spend much of their time on the ground, while on the breeding grounds, usually on a suitable vantage point within their territory. Grabbed this flight shot as I skirted a piece of moorland with a couple of pairs. I really disapprove of putting the birds up just for photo opportunities but this one was being heavily mobbed by a pair of peewits and passed me as it flew off "in disgust". This was the best of the three shots that I managed to get.

They certainly are a good looking bird Malcolm
Things look a bit tight at the bottom so I've been a naughty lad and reworked it with some more BG at the bottom - just a bit of cloning in some extra canvass.
You could add more at the side to bring it back to pano.

Nice capture Malcolm though I find the buildings a bit distracting.

A nice flight shot, agree it needs a bit more room at the bottom and a little less at the top, would have prefered a wider aperture to throw the building more OOF, but appreciate that in the heat of the moment that would have been the last thing you would have thought about....
