Quinault Fog - need help
This is an image of a fog bank forming on Lake Quinault. I'm not sure if this is worth pursuing as a workable image. I have tried both color and B&W versions and was wanting to get your opinions. (good or bad) I will post both versions after I start getting comments, so I don't violate the rules. I hope the colors come out on this version

Taken with a Canon 5D - 70-200 f2.8 "L" @ 200 - 0.8sec @ f22 and w Singh Ray Warming Polarizer.

I dont know Dave. Seems too soft. The fg is too barren as is above the treeline. I can barely see it as a pano. I would probably toss this one out buddy. :frown: sorry...but you at least deserve an honest opinion since everyone else seems a bit shy.

Silvery, but not to much impact...

I love the simplicity of the scene and the fog/mist contributes to an etherial feeling. I would pursue it. I would also focus on a monochromatic version or a duotone.

I'm not feeling it with this one, Dave. I played with it a bit but couldn't make it magical.

i actually think it has a nice feel, nothing too deep or profound, but still there is a wee bit of 'something' to it. probably not a portfolio image, but imo something worth not throwing away. i would go with a more monochromatic color image than the more saturated version or black and white you have posted thus far. do you have a looser cropped version ?
