I am working on a picture I took several months ago. I had a ton of water spots covering the seastacks in this image, I cloned them out but when I printed the image I noticed heavy dark areas (darker then the rock) in the areas of the seastacks where I had multiple waterspots.
Is there a way for me to recreate an even layer of black in the rocks so as to rid myself of the darker portions contained in the center of each seastack? I fear darker portions not fluid throghout the image, the edges give away the lightness of it. When I print on my epson 2200 it is clearly a problem. Attached is a pic of what I am working on, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Well, one idea taht spring to mind is to create a layer behind this image that is essentially a "paint-bucket" function fill-in using a dark tone that you sample previously from the rocks but that you know doesn't block up in print. Then, instead of cloning, you could use a soft brush eraser at a low opacity to remove the water spots.
