buttonbush
It seems that we're into the dog days of summer here and the spring flowers are long gone but the Buttonbush is doing well right now. This was taken at my favorite place close to home, Harvey County Park. The closest flowers were about 6" from my lens and the trees on the other side of the lake are still reasonably sharp.

Nice shot, Ken. Extreme DOF and I like the soft light. What focal length lens did you use?

I'll say they're doing well! Nice color balance, reflections, and sharpness in your photograph, Ken. Gorgeous shot!

Beautiful shot and composition. The dof and reflections make it.

Thanks for the replies. I shot this with an Olympus 14-54mm lens at 14mm. That would have a field of view equivelant to 28mm on a 35mm camera.

Great picture. Excellent job on the DOF. I just ran across some buttonbush blooms myself. My background was nothing compaired to this. Looking at this flower we now know where NASA got the idea of what the first satelites would look like.
